COVER: An 18 year old man with atypical keratitis which showed a resistance to aciclovir treatment. Keratitis shape appeared to be herpes simplex virus (HSV) induced keratitis; however, no HSV DNA was detected by polymerase chain reaction. (See paper by Koizumi et al, this issue, pp 957–60.)
