The Bull's Eye is a term well known to darts playing pub-goers, and denotes the highest scoring, central spot on a darts board. The first use of the term in this setting is unknown. It has been speculated that hunters attempting to fell a large beast would aim for its eye, killing it with a single arrow into the brain through the socket.
