We read with interest the article by Reznicek et al,1 which evaluated the fulfilment of retreatment criteria for recurrent neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD). We support the notion of qualitative optical coherence tomography (OCT) assessment of the retina. However, we will like to point out some factors that might have affected their conclusion that quantitative OCT-based retreatment criteria appeared not sensitive enough in a clinical setting.
