Squamous cell carcinoma of the conjunctiva

Abstract

Squamous cell carcinomas of the conjunctiva are either limbal or, less often, truly conjunctival. Four rare forms of this type of neoplasm are described and illustrated:

  1. 1.

    The squamous cell carcinoma of the limbus invading the eye

  2. 2.

    The papillary carcinoma of the limbus

  3. 3.

    The nodular carcinoma of the bulbar and the palpebral conjunctiva, and

  4. 4.

    The diffuse carcinoma of the palpebral conjunctiva.
