Freshly isolated RPE cells (5 × 104 cells/well) were cultured under various conditions for 7 days. Dedifferentiation (mean (SE)) represents the percentage of positive wells in which dedifferentiated RPE cells were observed. Dedifferentiation was evaluated as described under “Materials and methods”.
