Severity was scored 0–4 (none, very severe). Frequency was scored 0–4 (never to continuous). It demonstrates the reproducible tearing in patients 1 and 3, which was not obvious in patient 2. The stimulus was consuming the food item that they felt stimulated tearing most in each individual patient (1–3). The stimulus used was physical exercise.
