Zusammenfassung

Es wird über 14 Patienten aus dem Zeitraum von 1961-1978 berichtet, bei denen klinisch gesicherte Aderhauthämangiome mit Lichtkoagulation behandelt wurden. Mit einer Ausnahme konnte die Begleitablatio beseitigt und weiteres Tumorwachstum verhindert werden. Die mittlere Beobachtungszeit nach der Therapie beträgt 5 Jahre. In Übereinstimmung mit einigen Fällen aus der Literatur und im Gegensatz zur Meinung Witmers wird die Lichtkoagulation als eine wirksame und schonende Methode zur Behandlung von Aderhautangiomen empfohlen.

Summary

A report on 14 patients who were treated for clinically confirmed haemangioma by Xenon-photocoagulation between 1961 and 1978. With one single exception it was possible to eliminate the accompanying retinal detachment and to stop further growth of the tumor. In accordance with some cases already published and in contrast to the opinion of Witmer, photocoagulation is recommended as a simple and effective method for treatment of choroidal haemangiomas.
