Statistics from Altmetric.com
The numbers of consistently first rate journals that survive for a century are few. The numbers of century survivors who have a true international perspective, editorial board and contributing authors are fewer still when they reach 100 years of publication. Such is the British Journal of Ophthalmology. This journal is long recognised for its editorial integrity, its international leadership and contributors, and its wide-ranging content of the full scope of ophthalmology.
I congratulate the editors, the contributors, the staff and all the predecessors who have made this an outstanding contributor to ophthalmic education and tradition.
