I am in strong agreement with Waddell that the treatment of conjunctival neoplasia in Africa should primarily be surgical excision and not medical drugs. As an ophthalmologist working in Malawi-Southern Africa where the prevalence of HIV is very high (8.3% of whole population), conjuctival tumours have become the dominant condition requiring surgery.
