I wish to bring to your attention some fundamental errors in one of the papers published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology. Liu et al published an important study looking at the magnetic resonance imaging of the optic nerve in extremes of gaze in 1992.1 The article has a set of images and a line diagram of the orbits which appear to have been mislabelled in the way that is both confusing and potentially misleading.
