The debate between evisceration and enucleation is well documented in literature. Minimal orbital dissection required in evisceration has made it a more preferable choice except for certain absolute indications for enucleation. Cosmetic appearance, motility, implant exposure and extrusion are the most frequently discussed complications between these two procedures.
