AB Fourteen rabbits received an intravitreal iron foreign body and were treated with desferrioxamine. Their electroretinographic (ERG) values were recorded and compared with those of an untreated group. With desferrioxamine treatment a delay of the siderotic damage and preservation of better ERG potentials is observed.
