AB The penetration of gentamicin into human aqueous was measured after intensive drops or subconjunctival injection of the antibiotic. The drop regimen proved ineffective in producing a therapeutically effective level. After a single 40 mg subconjunctival injection an effective concentration was achieved in 2 hours and maintained for 24 hours. The significance of these findings is discussed with respect to therapeutic implications.
