For example, computer-based platforms like HTS iNet (Serna et al., 2011) combined with transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) applied to the visual cortex, may increase visual system robustness and buffer against resource depletions due to oculomotor stress over time. Indeed, Wendel et al. (2017) showed that tDCS applied to the visual system can improve the accommodative response to stimuli at standard working distances.
