Biomicroscopy and argon laser photocystotomy of free-floating vitreous cysts

Ophthalmology. 1985 Dec;92(12):1710-1. doi: 10.1016/s0161-6420(85)34096-4.

Abstract

Laser photocystotomy is a new technique that employs a 200 mu beam of argon laser at a setting of 0.1 second and 500 mW to accomplish cystotomy of symptomatic free-floating vitreous cysts. It was successful in treating this type of cyst in the right eye of a 23-year-old man. The paper also includes the first photographic documentation of the biomicroscopic features of a free-floating vitreous cyst.
