Aphakic cystoid macular edema in children after vitrectomy for anterior segment injuries

Ophthalmic Surg. 1983 Oct;14(10):848-51.

Abstract

Twenty-four children had surgery utilizing vitrectomy instrumentation for anterior segment trauma. Lensectomy was performed in 23 of 24 eyes. In each child a pars plicata approach was used. Fluorescein angiography or angioscopy performed two months to seven years after surgery failed to document aphakic cystoid macular edema.
